Hillside Rovers win two prestigious awards

Hillside Rovers are proud to announce that on Friday 29th June this year at the annual league AGM, we won two awards.

The first was the "Fair Play" award and was won by our 2006/07 under 10's. No mean feat considering that there were 24 teams in the league this season.

The second award was the "Norfolk County FA Football Workforce Award" and was won this year by our very own Richard Pace. The award itself will be presented on Monday 16th July at the Norfolk County FA Development Presentation Night.

Richard has done a tremendous job as recent secretary of the club, taking it to the next level. He has been the ‘steering wheel’ for making things happen. He managed to successfully bid for FA Charter money which we have spent on equipment.

He has also coached the under 8’s team this year and has also been the lead contact for them. He dealt with all of the registrations and has ensured we received no fines this season.

Richard's refereeing at local level was also recognised and he was also, until recently, Secretary of the Norfolk Referees Association.

Well done to the 2006/07 under 10's and a very special well done and congratulations to Richard.
