Summer fun
Alas, the summer tournament season is nearly over, the usual search for sun cream and water was replaced by holding the gazebo down against the wind and need for thick coats and tea.
Trips to far flung Norfolk playing fields have brought some of the the player development we were looking for. if not an arm full of trophies.

The reason we spend so many Sundays huddled together under the green and white canvas is to give the players the chance to play lots of games as a team in a short space of time, enhancing team play skills and positional play.
Throughout the rest of the year we only have the children together for a couple of hours a week, the tournaments allow us all more time to work together and improve as the day goes on. If a player lacks something in Game 1 we can coach them so they are able to achieve improvement and therefore a sense of success in game 2 or 3.
The down side to these trips is that we are often unable to take as many children as we would like, due the limits set by the organisers.

A huge THANK YOU! to the parents for their support this year, as always.

New Kit!
A new playing kit has been ordered thanks to our wonderful sponsors Gardline Lankelma.
It’s a lovely kit with ‘up the minute styling’ in royal blue with yellow trim, see below.

It will be here in a week or two along with tracksuit bottoms for the colder days (July).

New players!
We have hopefully attracted one or two new members to our group for next year, however, we are actively seeking additional players for the playing squad. Our intention next season is to have an active second team fulfilling numerous friendly games in anticipation of the following year, at which point we become an eleven-a-side team.

If your 10th birthday is between 1st September 2007 and 1st September 2008 and you are currently playing in a team but fancy a move to happy Hillside Rovers, please get in touch.
