Year Group News - Under 10's

The Under 10's are about to embark on their second season of competitive football. Due to the high number of players that we have, we are again running two teams. One is in the Norwich Youth Football Combination (NYFC) and one in the North East Norfolk Youth Football League (NENYL).

Each team plays its matches on a different day, one on Saturdays and the other on Sundays, so combined with normal Saturday training it is going to be a busy season. Happily we have four established coaches and several parents who are willing to lend a hand when required.

We are also in the fortunate position of having a match-day kit for each team. We have been able to do this thanks to very kind donations from ‘The Frying Machine’ Fish and Chip shop on Furze Road in Thorpe St Andrew, and from Kettle Chips.

While it is great that we are able to attract so much interest in football at this age group, the down side for anyone looking to start playing football with us is that realistically it wouldn't be fair on the boys to have any more joining us for the moment.

We are all very excited about the coming season. The new challenge of competitive football brings a slightly more serious edge to our game but it is still about having fun and we are determined not to lose sight of that.
