Year Group News - Under 6's

Hillside Rovers would like to invite boys and girls from year 1 to come and try soccer with us on a Saturday morning.

We meet on the school playing field every Saturday in term time from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

It doesn't matter if you missed our first football morning, on 10 September, just come along and try us any Saturday morning.

Please bring a drink and a healthy snack. Training shoes are fine if it's dry, football boots if wet and shin pads if you have them. To start with it's a good idea of parents stay and watch or help out.

We expect the majority of the players will be from Hillside Avenue Primary School but other boys and girls who live in the area are welcome too: there are several from other schools in other year groups.

The emphasis is on fun while learning new skills like dribbling, shooting and passing.

Coaches from other year groups will help for the first few weeks but, as for all the other year groups, we are dependent on volunteers from among the parents to learn the ropes and take over. Well done to the mums and dads already offering to take part. If you think you'd like to help, please contact one of the club's officials.
