Year Group News - Under 6's

Hillside Rovers would like to invite boys and girls from year 1 to come and try soccer with us on a Saturday morning.

We meet on the school playing field every Saturday in term time from 9:30 to about 10:30.

Please bring a drink and a healthy snack. Training shoes are fine if it's dry, football boots if wet and shin pads if you have them (or look in our 'boot box'.) To start with it's a good idea if parents stay and watch or help out.

We expect the majority of the players will be from Hillside Avenue Primary School but other boys and girls who live in the area are welcome too: there are several from other schools in other year groups.

The emphasis is on fun while learning new skills like dribbling, shooting and passing.

As for all the other year groups, we are dependent on volunteers from among the parents to learn the ropes and take over. Martyn and Clare have made an excellent start, though more help is welcome. If you could help, please contact one of the club's officials.
