Year Group News - Under 8's
This is our first year of structured match fixtures in the Norfolk Youth Football Combination (NYFC) league, the first of which is at home at Hillside Avenue Primary School on 25 September. For the full fixture list, click here.
At this age the matches are all friendlies so results and league tables are not officially recorded. Boys who play have to be registered with NYFC:- we have seven so far for whom we have completed forms, but we can add more later. Matches are usually five-a-side involving a maximum of 10 players, including rolling subs. Match days involve three teams playing each other.

Boys and girls from year three are welcome to come and try us for a few weeks before deciding to join. Most of our players are from Hillside Avenue School, but we are also pleased to have some from other schools and all are very welcome.
Coaches: Colin Withers, Steve Mills, Chris Durdin, Martin Seymour and Graham (Edd) Edmond, supported by many parents. Colin and Chris successfully completed a 4-day FA Level 1 coaches training course in summer 2009.
More parents joining the team would be welcome. A first step is to have a CRB check and help out regularly and if that works well for you and the club, to think about a coaching course later.
