Year Group News - Under 9's

Awaiting update for 2010/11

This is our first year of competitive match fixtures. With so many boys involved at this age group, we have teams in two leagues this year,  the North East Norfolk Youth League (NENYL) and the Norfolk Youth Football Combination (NYFC).

We were fortunate enough to have been able to buy ourselves a new team kit last season. The money for this was kindly donated by ‘The Frying Machine’ fish and chip shop on Furze Road in Thorpe St Andrew. We are not the first team to benefit from the generosity of Paul, the owner, and I’m sure we won’t be the last as he has a real passion for supporting the local community.

This year, interest in football at this age group has been very high, so realistically it wouldn't be fair on the boys to have any more joining us for the moment. While it is great that we are able to attract so much interest, it has proved a real challenge for the coaches. Happily, we are not short of willing helpers.
